.Volunteer Appreciation Week

            .We wish to thank the volunteers who put in countless hours helping the school in many different ways. Your time and kindness have not gone unnoticed.

 

.Yearbooks!

 

            .Order your yearbooks now if you have not already done so. Yearbooks are $12.00 each.

 

.CHILD FIND

 

            -Child Find is an ongoing screening process for children ages 0-5. It helps determine whether they are growing and developing properly. Any child who will be attending preschool in the fall, should be screened.

            -The next scheduled screening will be held on Wednesday, April 21 from 8:00 a.m. until noon. Please call the school at 748-3911 if you have any questions or to schedule a screening.

            .Areas covered in the screening are: speech development, social, cognitive, fine and gross motor skills.

 

.Pepsi refreshes grant

 

            -We need your help. Many of you would like to volunteer at the school, but because of other commitments, cannot. Here is a way that everyone can help. For every day in April go to this site: www.refresheverything.com/adventurelearning4lakegeorge and vote. The chance for a $50,000. grant is on the line and we can use all the votes we can get. This grant is awarded based on numbers. Share the site with family and friends and vote daily, using all your email accounts.

 

                                                                                        -4-H

            -TellerCounty 4-H will offer two, four-week classes on Fridays for students in the Lake George area. Come learn more at the informational meeting to be held on April 8th at 6:00, at the school.

 

.“Soup’er Art Show” #4

 

           -The fourth annual Soup’er Art Show will be held on Thursday, April 29^th in the gym. Supper will be served at 5:03 p.m. with a performance from the ManitouArtTheatre at 6:08. This year’s performance will be “A Nose for Space” by Jim Jackson.

            -There is a $10.00 fee per family. This fee includes soup, show, and one pottery piece. Each additional  piece is $5.00.

            -The soups will be donated. Bread sticks, drinks, and desert will be provided.

            -The bowls and other art work  are the creation of the students and are available for sale. All proceeds will benefit the ArtDepartment.

 

.Candy Sales

 

            -Thank you for your effort in selling candy bars. Totals are not all in and many orders still need to be filled; it has been a great success.

 

.Spring Pictures

 

            -Lifetouch will be here on Thursday, April 15 to do our annual spring pictures. There is a difference in procedure this year. You will need to order and pay for the pictures in advance. Students without an order form will not have their pictures taken. The minimum package order is $11.00.
